Lisa received her Bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee in 1993. She was drawn to the beauty of the Pacific Northwest and moved to Eugene in 1996. She spent 12 years working in Psychology Research at Oregon Research Institute and the University of Oregon. She wanted to do more direct service and obtained her Master’s in Social Work from Portland State University in 2010. She worked in Hospice providing counseling to patients and families and volunteered at the Center for Community Counseling in Eugene.

Lisa has always been in love with the Oregon Coast and was excited to move to Coos Bay in April 2016 to join the Coastal Center. Lisa has experience counseling adults going through grief and loss, anxiety, depression, trauma, PTSD, foster and adoption issues, caregiving challenges and life transitions, especially for older adults. She is also a mediator for post-adoption and guardianship communication agreements. In her spare time, she enjoys hiking, agate collecting on the beach, road trips, watching movies and reading.
